That one guy who told me my digital art looked 'too perfect'

I was at a small gallery show in Austin last fall, just showing some of my landscape pieces on a tablet. This older guy walks up, looks at my work for a solid minute, and says 'You know, this looks too perfect, like a robot made it.' I asked him what he meant and he just shook his head and walked off. Been stuck in my head ever since because I spent hours on those pieces getting the lighting just right. Has anyone else had a random comment like that ruin their whole night?

Yeah perez.mia your cousin would probably hate my art too, guess I should start making my landscapes look like I dropped the tablet down a flight of stairs to get that authentic human touch.

That reminds me of my cousin who refused to eat at a restaurant because their mashed potatoes were "too smooth." He said it felt like eating computational geometry. People get real weird about things looking made by a machine.
