Spent $80 on a fancy drawing tablet stand and honestly wish I'd just stacked some books

Ordered this angled aluminum stand from Germany thinking it would fix my wrist pain on my Wacom, but the thing wobbles every time I press down and now I'm back to using a thrifted cookbook as a wedge - anyone found a cheap stand that actually stays put?

Feels like everything these days is designed to look good in photos instead of actually working.

My friend spent $60 on a "pro" tablet stand from Japan. Arrived with a magnet strip that barely holds the tablet. Now he uses a 1992 copy of "The Joy of Cooking" as a wedge. Works perfectly. Saw his wrist pain go away in a week.
