Noticed something about using custom brushes versus default ones in Procreate
I was working on a portrait last month and tried using the standard round brush for skin texture. It looked flat and took forever. Then I switched to a custom brush pack I got from a friend, the 'realistic skin' set by Jingsketch. The difference was huge, it added subtle pores and oil shine in like two minutes. The custom brushes just had way more texture variation built in. Anyone have other brush makers they like for portrait work?

Wait, you're still using default brushes for portraits? I made that same mistake for way too long. The stock ones just don't have the grit or the smart texture you need for skin and hair. It's like trying to paint a wall with a marker. I swear by MaxU brushes now, especially for hair. They have this one brush that just lays down perfect wispy strands without looking fake. Once you go custom, you really can't go back.

Funny how that works... the right tool for the job always makes a huge difference, whether it's digital brushes or a good kitchen knife.
