I spent 9 hours on a single light layer in Clip Studio Paint before I got why everyone keeps yelling about groups
Honestly I used to think layer folders were just clutter, so I kept 60 plus layers loose on my canvas and it turned into a total mess. Then I watched a guy named Ryo do a fire effect for a client piece in about 20 minutes at a meetup in Austin, and he had everything tucked into masked groups with blend modes. I tried it on my own character art and got the glow to actually sit right on the first pass instead of fighting it all night. So what is your go to setup for glow layers, groups or just stacking blend modes and hoping?
