I finally warmed up to animated portfolios after that 45 second demo

For the longest time I thought animated portfolios were just flashy noise, but last Wednesday I watched this artist's reel that showed her line art building into a full scene with color. It was only 45 seconds long but it told a whole story about her process, not just the finished piece. That made me realize how much personality gets lost in a static gallery. Has anyone else changed their mind about a showcase format after seeing one really good example?
