Got roasted on r/art for my old workflow, now my layers panel looks totally different
Two years ago I was doing every single painting on one flat layer in Krita because I thought layers were cheating, and a guy in a Discord server pulled up my WIP and called it "smear city." Now I block in shapes on like 6 separate layers before I touch a brush, and my file sizes jumped from 40mb to almost 300mb per piece. Is there a sweet spot for layer count, or does everyone just keep stacking until their laptop starts wheezing?
