Finally figured out my tablet pressure curve after 7 years of frustration
I've been sketching on a cheap Wacom for ages and always wondered why my lines looked so lifeless, then last week I dug into the driver settings and realized the pressure curve was set way too aggressive. After tweaking it down to a softer slope and messing with the tip feel, my strokes finally have that natural taper I see in other artists' work. Has anyone else found that their tablet was basically sabotaging them from day one and what curve do you use for line art?

That "lifeless lines" thing hit home for me. I messed with my tablet for years thinking I just had shaky hands, turns out the default pressure settings were making every stroke come out muddy and flat. Once I flattened the curve out, my line work got noticeably cleaner within a week, feels like I wasted a lot of time fighting the hardware instead of trusting it.
