Why does nobody talk about hotel wifi being a giant trap
I was at a conference in Chicago and logged into the hotel wifi to check my email. Two days later my bank called about a $400 charge from a store I have never been to. Turns out the network was wide open and everyone on it could see what I was doing. Now I tether off my phone or use a VPN no matter how tired I am. Has anyone else gotten burned by free hotel wifi or am I just unlucky?
