Most people overlook how smart TVs can act as a backdoor into your entire home network. If compromised, they give hackers access to EVERYTHING else connected. Scary stuff.

Oh man, I've dealt with this EXACT thing at a few job sites. The simplest fix is to just disconnect that TV from wifi and use a separate streaming box like a Roku - those things are WAY easier to keep secure. And turn off the microphone in the TV settings before you even plug it in, seriously saves a headache later.

Yep, same thing hit me last year. My old smart TV started showing me super targeted ads for stuff I'd only talked about near it, which was a huge wake-up call lol. I ended up just unplugging it from the wifi entirely and got a cheap streaming stick instead, way less creepy. It's wild how much those things just silently collect.
