Still chose a password manager over hardware keys after 2 years

Everyone in this sub swears by YubiKeys and similar physical tokens, but I went the password manager route with strong unique passwords and TOTP instead. My reasoning was simple: I lose stuff constantly, and a $50 key would be toast within a month. I've been using Bitwarden with a 20-character master passphrase and 2FA since March 2023, and I haven't had a single account compromise. I know hardware keys block phishing better, but for me the real risk was losing the key or forgetting it at home. The password manager syncs across my phone and laptop, so I actually use it every single time. Has anyone else skipped hardware keys for practical reasons and regretted it later, or am I not alone here?

Bitwarden has been my setup since 2021 and I've never looked back... I keep a spare TOTP backup code in my wallet just in case my phone dies, but honestly the biggest win is actually using it every day instead of hoping I remember some dongle at home.
