Shoutout to the IT guy who told me to stop reusing passwords across sites
He warned me six months ago after I shrugged it off, and last week my email got hit in a data breach on a forum I forgot about, so his advice saved me from losing my bank login too. Has anyone else had that gut-check moment where you realized the boring advice was actually the important stuff?

My friend actually had her whole online life wiped out because she used the same password for her email and a knitting forum that got hacked. Someone got into her Amazon, her PayPal, everything. Took her months to sort it out.

Oh man, that is literally my worst nightmare come to life! I probably have the same password for like 20 different sites and I'm just waiting for this to happen to me someday.
