Just saw a public USB charging station at the Denver airport that made me pause
It was one of those free kiosks with built-in cables, and I noticed the data pins on the USB ports weren't blocked, which means it could be set up to steal info. I walked away and used my own wall plug instead. Has anyone else seen these and know a safe way to check them?

Good call avoiding those kiosks. A portable battery pack is the only public charging I trust now.

Ever think about the data risk from those kiosks, @perez.thea? A battery pack keeps your info safe too.

Right? The whole "free charge" thing feels like a setup. Like @elizabethhunt said, a battery pack is basically a privacy upgrade at this point. Might as well hand over my contacts list while I'm waiting for 10%.
