Just realized my home router was still using the default admin password after a scare at my apartment.

I got a notification about a strange device on my network last Tuesday, and it turned out I'd never changed the login from the sticker on the bottom. Has anyone else had a close call like that and what did you change first?

Honestly that's so common it's scary. Changed the password first, then hid the network name.

Read an article last week saying hiding your network name doesn't really stop anyone. Tools can still see the hidden network and its traffic. The writer said a strong, unique password is the only thing that actually helps.
