Can we talk about how I thought a simple password was fine until my friend's account got cleaned out last month?
Seeing his bank alerts for $400 in charges from a city he's never visited made me finally switch to a password manager and generate 20-character random codes for everything.

My old password was basically "password123" for years... felt like a genius for adding those numbers. Your friend's story is the exact kind of wake-up call I needed, too. Now my passwords look like a cat walked across the keyboard, and I can't even remember my own email.
