Found out cruise ships carry way more crew than I guessed, and now I can't stop wondering about it
I was reading through a cruise line FAQ page last week and saw that a ship with around 4,000 guests can have over 1,500 crew members on board at the same time. That ratio kind of blew my mind, since I always figured it was a few hundred people running the whole thing. Does anyone know how they actually house and feed that many crew on a normal 7 day trip? I'm curious how the behind the scenes side of it all works.
