Threw $200 down the drain on a 'paranormal investigation kit' from Etsy
Bought this kit with an EMF reader and spirit box from some seller in Ohio, thinking I could prove my neighbor's weird midnight chanting was ghosts. Turns out the EMF reader just picks up my fridge's compressor and the spirit box is a $40 AM radio from 1995. Anyone else get scammed by those overhyped ghost hunting gadgets?

Bought one of those kits last Halloween and my EMF reader went off like crazy until I realized it was just picking up the wireless charger on my nightstand. The spirit box sounded like a possessed talk radio host yelling about car insurance, not exactly the ghostly whispers I was hoping for. Took me way too long to figure out the "ghost orbs" in my photos were just dust motes floating around my ceiling fan.
