The guy next door took my trash bin hostage for 11 days
Came home last Tuesday and my bin was gone. Found it in his yard the next morning, fully dumped but with my recycling inside, like he'd traded contents with his own bin. When I knocked, he stared at me through the peephole for a full minute before cracking the door and saying 'the lid was cracked, so I fixed it.' He'd drilled three holes in it and zip tied a garden hose to the top as a handle. I called the city about a replacement and he followed the truck to the dump that afternoon, waited for me at my driveway, and handed me a $20 bill saying 'now we're even.' Has anyone else had a neighbor decide your property is a community project?
