That week my neighbor decided to become a mime at 6 AM
Last spring, my neighbor Dave spent an entire Tuesday to Friday standing in his front yard at sunrise, pretending to be trapped in a glass box. No joke, he'd press his hands against invisible walls and make exaggerated struggling faces at anyone walking by. I asked him about it on Saturday and he just shrugged and said he was 'practicing for a bit' before his shift at the warehouse. It was the most random, weirdly funny thing I've seen, and I still can't figure out why he chose 6 AM. Anyone else have a neighbor pick up a bizarre hobby out of nowhere?

The glass box thing is a weird choice for sure, but maybe he's not actually practicing mime. Possibly he's trying to get out of something else, like walking the dog or talking to his neighbors. Standing there at dawn, looking trapped, it's the perfect excuse to avoid any real interaction. Nobody bothers a mime. Plus, no one asks you to help carry groceries when you're pretending to be stuck in invisible walls. Might have been the smartest move of his whole week.

Woah, that's hilarious! I bet Dave was doing some kind of weird performance art protest against early morning noise like leaf blowers or something. Maybe he thought if he looked miserable enough at dawn people would finally understand how annoying that time of day actually is.
