Never believed in creepy neighbors until last Tuesday

Old man across the street, Mr. Henson. He's like 80. Always saw him gardening at 3am. Thought it was just insomnia. Then my porch light flickered and died. Went outside to check the bulb, caught him standing in my driveway holding a pair of rusty wire cutters. He just smiled and walked back to his house. What do you even do with that?

Mr. Henson sounds like he's auditioning for the role of "creepy neighbor" in my life, and I'm not sure if I should be flattered or terrified. Last time I tried gardening at 3am, I woke up with my neighbor's cat watching me from the fence like I was the weird one. Maybe we should just swap porch lights and call it even.

But isn't that what makes a neighborhood interesting, @caseyfox? The cat's probably just keeping an eye on things, same as you... I say embrace the role of the weird one, own it. Better than being boring, right?
