My old neighbor's weird recycling habit finally clicked after 2 years
Guy two doors down has collected every plastic bottle he's ever used since 2018. They're stacked in pyramids across his driveway, and he paints them with glow in the dark stripes every full moon. I thought he was just a hoarder with a light up gimmick. Then last Tuesday I saw him at 3am dragging a wheelbarrow of them to the cul de sac, all glowing. He arranged them in a circle and just stood in the middle for like 10 minutes. Turns out he's mapping where the old sewer line runs under our street based on how the bottles flicker when trucks pass. Weirdest part is he was right, the city dug up my front yard yesterday and found a cracked pipe exactly where he said. Anyone else have a neighbor whose crazy routine turned out to be some kind of practical warning system?
