My neighbor's creepy late night gardening habit finally got too weird

So last week around 2 AM I hear digging outside my window. I peek out and my neighbor Linda is out there planting stuff in the dark with just a tiny headlamp on. I thought okay maybe she works weird hours but then I saw her whispering to the plants lol. The next morning I went over to ask what she was planting and she said "just some personal projects" and smiled all weird. I checked her garden and she had like 30 little crosses made of twigs stuck in the dirt. No idea what that's about but I'm keeping my blinds shut now. Anyone else have a neighbor who does stuff at night that gives you the creeps?

ok but hear me out, i feel like we're too quick to call this creepy when it might just be someone who operates on a totally different schedule than the rest of us. i mean, i have a friend who's a nurse and she gardens at 3am after her night shifts because it's the only time she has peace and quiet. plus those twig crosses could be like a memorial thing for pets she's lost over the years, my grandma did something similar for her cats and it looked super weird from the street. i'm not saying you have to be best friends with her but maybe just ask her about it in a normal way instead of assuming the worst.

Yeah but nurses don't usually make twig crosses in their yard at 3am, that's a pretty specific thing. And the memorial idea for pets totally falls apart when you realize she's been there for 2 years and the crosses keep getting moved around to different spots. You'd think a pet memorial would stay in one place, you know?
