Found out my neighbor was watering my plants at 3 AM every night

I kept waking up to wet soil around my front porch plants but never saw anyone doing it. My wife thought I was going crazy because we don't have a sprinkler system or anything. So I set up my phone camera on the windowsill and pointed it at the porch. Sure enough, at 2:47 AM my elderly neighbor from three doors down came shuffling over with a watering can. Apparently she couldn't sleep since her husband passed away six months ago and she felt like taking care of things helped. She didn't want to bother us during the day because she figured we were busy with work. I talked to her the next morning and told her it was fine to water them whenever she wants. Has anyone else found out their neighbors were doing something weird but kindhearted?
