Finally switched from ignoring the weird noises to calling the cops
For two months I kept hearing scraping sounds from my neighbor's basement at 3 AM. Told myself it was just pipes or raccoons. Then last Tuesday I saw a guy in a hoodie crawl out of their window well with a shovel at 4:30 in the morning. I called the non emergency line and two squad cars showed up. Turns out they were digging a secret tunnel under the fence to get into the abandoned house next door. The cops found a bunch of stolen electronics inside that hideout. Has anyone else had a neighbor doing something that wild right under your nose?
