Caught the guy next door clipping my rose bushes at 3am last Tuesday

I woke up to weird snipping sounds and looked out my bedroom window. He was out there in his bathrobe with garden shears, trimming my prize pink roses down to nubs. Has anyone else had a neighbor mess with their plants like this?

My friend Sarah had something similar happen a few years back, @anna_green48. Her neighbor was snipping herbs from her windowsill garden at dawn every Sunday for a month. She caught him when her dog woke her up barking one morning. He said he liked the smell of her basil in his morning tea but never thought to ask. She ended up giving him his own little potted plant after that, which was weird but kind of sweet. Your guy with the bathrobe at 3am though, that's a whole different level of strange.
