PSA: That $50 Amazon "creative writing workbook" was a total scam

Picked up some workbook from a random publisher called WordCraft Labs for 50 bucks, thinking it would have fresh prompts and exercises. Instead it was just 200 pages of "write about a door" and "describe a sunset" with zero actual teaching or structure. I only did three prompts before I tossed it in the recycling. Has anyone else fallen for one of those cheap self-published workbooks that look professional?

Some workbooks are meant for generating ideas, not teaching structure, so you might just not be the target audience.

Write about a door"... that's the sort of thing you get in a free blog post, not something you pay fifty bucks for. Sounds like WordCraft Labs put more effort into the cover design than the actual content. At least the recycling bin is getting some quality reading material now.
