My prompt notebook hit 200 pages and I didn't even notice

I was cleaning my desk yesterday and found the old composition book I started three years ago for stray ideas. Flipped through it and counted exactly 200 pages of half sentences, weird names, and 'what if' questions. The thing is, I never meant to fill it, I just wrote down stuff that popped into my head while doing other things. It's basically a map of every time I got distracted. Anyone else have a physical book that just grew on its own?

Honestly, I always thought you had to have a neat, organized system for ideas to count. Seeing my own kitchen drawer notepad full of grocery lists next to random story bits changed that. It's all scribbled next to dentist appointments and reminders to buy light bulbs. That messy mix actually helps me connect things later. Now I see those 200 pages not as a distraction log, but as proof your brain was working even when you thought it was off duty.

Wait, but isn't it proof your brain was working even when you thought it was off?
