Vent: I was sure those new wireless load indicators were just a gimmick until I tried one on a tricky blind lift over in Springfield.
The real-time vibration alert on the ProLift 8000 caught a slight swing I couldn't feel from the cab, which convinced me to stop and re-rig before we had a real problem.

Saw a video where a guy was testing one of those on a knuckle boom. The readout showed a side load building up during a simple pick that looked totally fine from the ground. Made me realize how much you miss just going by feel.

Just going by feel" has worked for decades, and now we're supposed to trust a little box that beeps? That vibration alert could be set off by a stiff breeze or the truck's own engine. It's more likely to make you second guess yourself and waste time on a perfectly fine lift. All this tech just adds another thing to buy, another battery to charge, and another screen to distract you from actually watching the load.
