Tbh, I'm still thinking about that load chart call I had to make last week

Honestly, my crew needed to set a generator pad and the weight was right at the limit on my chart, but the rigging made it sketchy. Ngl, part of me thought we could fudge it to keep the job moving, but my gut said to shut it down. Now the foreman is annoyed about the delay, and I'm stuck between being the safety stickler or the guy who gets things done. How do you all handle these gray area calls on site?

Our crane operator last month had the same exact situation.

Seriously? What went down with your crane operator last month? I need to know the details because this stuff keeps happening. Was it equipment failure or a training problem? These situations can turn bad real quick if nobody learns from them. How did your company handle it after the fact? We have to stop repeating the same mistakes.
