Showerthought: a rigger in Houston told me to stop watching the load and watch the wind instead, and I argued with him for 20 minutes
He said it at a 6am tailgate meeting on a 300 ton crawler job near the ship channel, and I told him that was backwards because I had 8 years of watching the load swing into place. He just pointed at the flag on the boom and said the load already tells you where it was, the wind tells you where it's going. So who's wrong here, do you watch the load or the wind when you're picking a big sail area load?
