Rant: Why does nobody check their reeving before a big pick anymore?

I was on a site in Houston last Tuesday and watched a crew spend 20 minutes fighting a load because someone had the falls wrapped wrong. It threw the block off center and made the whole lift sketchy. How hard is it to walk your crane and make sure the lines are straight before you hook up?

OH come ON, it's just a few wraps, the crane still picks the load and that extra 20 minutes was probably just the crew being cautious with the eyes on them. A little block drama builds character and keeps everyone awake on a slow Tuesday.
