Pro tip: check your rigging sling charts before you buy new ones

I bought a 5-ton sling for a 4-ton lift last month, thinking it was safe, but the chart showed a much lower capacity for the basket hitch I needed. Has anyone found a good app for this stuff?

Is that chart for the sling itself or the hardware? I've seen that mix-up cause a lot of confusion on site. The sling might be rated for 5 tons, but the shackle or hook you're using with it could be the real weak point.
