Pro tip: A rigger in Seattle told me to stop tying off on the hook block for tower crane picks

He said it throws off your load chart by adding weight above the boom tip, and since I switched to clipping the sling directly to the hook, I can handle 500 extra pounds on heavy lifts, has anyone else ran into this with their site super?

Laughing at that rigger changing the game for you with a sweet extra 500 pounds. Bet the site super will still find something else to complain about though, like the color of your hard hat.

Funny you mention that, I had a mate on a job where the super actually did try to send him home over the color of his safety glasses. Said they were "too dark for indoor work" even though they were the same shade the company issued everyone. My buddy just swapped with another guy who was going outside anyway, problem solved in like two minutes. But that super still found a way to grumble about something else before lunch. Some people just can't help themselves, I guess.
