Overheard a site inspector say my crane's load chart was outdated and I had to redo a whole lift in St. Louis last Friday
He caught me on a 30 ton Terex doing a pick with the old numbers. Turns out the chart got revised two years ago for some models and I missed the memo. Now I gotta check the serial number against the manufacturer site before every job. You ever get burned by an old load chart?

Man, I got burned the same way a few years back on a Grove RT. Had to stop mid lift and explain to the foreman why I was holding up the whole crew, felt like a total clown.

Right before the foreman walked over I tried to act like I was making a crucial safety call. He still made me show him the load chart on my phone and everything.
