I finally had a perfect week on a job site in Nashville last month

I'm a mobile crane operator and usually I have at least one thing go wrong per week. But last month on a job in Nashville, everything lined up. The weather held steady at 72 degrees for four straight days, the foreman had the loads staged exactly where I needed them, and the ground crew actually called out hand signals clear and early. No tangled rigging, no last-minute pick plan changes, just smooth lifts from 7am to 3pm each day. Has anyone else ever had a week where absolutely nothing went sideways, or is that just a myth in this trade?

I hit exactly one perfect week back in 2017 on a job in Memphis. The crane ran smooth all week, the operator had my coffee ready each morning, and I even found a five dollar bill in the portajohn on Wednesday. Figured I used up my entire career's worth of good luck right there, so now I just expect something to break by Tuesday afternoon and it usually does.

Buddy of mine had a similar thing happen on a roofing job back in '18. Found a crisp twenty in the dumpster on Monday and then the nail gun jammed for three straight days. Said he's been paranoid about finding money on site ever since.
