Hydraulic oil temp spiked on a Saturday job in Phoenix

Ran a 120 ton for a tilt-up panel install last Saturday and the oil temp just kept climbing past 185 no matter what I did. Turned out the cooler fan was running backwards, the shop had wired the leads wrong after a rebuild two weeks back. Swapped two wires with a screwdriver and it dropped 20 degrees in under five minutes. Anyone else had a phantom heat issue that turned out to be a simple wiring mistake instead of a pump or valve problem?
