Finally sorted a reeving issue on my Grove that had been bugging me for 7 weeks straight

Turns out I had one of the sheave pins slightly off center and it took me a full Saturday in the yard to find it, anyone else ever chase a problem that long only to find something so simple?

Was that sheave pin just a hair out or could you actually see it was off?

Yeah I had a similar thing on a Link-Belt one time, turned out to be a worn thrust washer making the drum walk just enough to throw the reeving off by like a quarter inch. Drove me nuts for almost a month until I finally caught it during a lube job.
