Drove past that wind farm near Amarillo last week and noticed something off about how one of the big cranes was parked

The jib was pointed straight into the wind with the hook hanging loose and no tagline tied off, which seems like asking for trouble if a gust picks up - has anyone else seen setups that looked sloppy near turbine sites?

Honestly, wind is wind and those cranes are built to handle way worse than they ever actually get out there.

Do you think people just underestimate how much those things really sway in a stiff breeze? I've watched them flex on windy days and it's wild how much they're designed to move without snapping.
