Can we talk about how long I been leveling crane mats wrong

I spent 3 years using a 4-foot level on crane mats thinking I was fine, then a senior operator on a job in Denver pulled out a transit and showed me I was off by 2 inches on one corner. The whole time my loads were slightly tilted and I never noticed until he pointed out the swing drift. Anyone else skip the transit because you figured a hand level was enough?

Yeah transit's the only way once you're past small mats.
