Serious question, a random Reddit comment told me to plant 12 potatoes in one Stardew plot and I am still mad it worked
Back in March I was stuck on year 1 of Stardew and some user in a comment thread told me to stop spreading my crops out and just pack 12 potatoes into one 3x3 plot instead of 8, and I rolled my eyes because everyone in the cozy game community says you need room to walk between rows. I did it anyway on my little farm in the hills layout and pulled 4 harvests in one season, which doubled the gold I made compared to my first spring. So was I just wasting half my farm for two in game years, or does crop spacing actually matter for anything besides looks?

Spacing only matters for looks and walking, so pack those plots tight every time.
