Unpopular opinion: the JFK files released in 2017 were picked over for a reason
Last month I spent like 12 hours cross-referencing the 2017 release with the Warren Commission footnotes in the National Archives reading room in College Park. The way the redactions line up with specific witness testimony from Dealey Plaza, especially the acoustics data, feels too clean. Maybe it's just me, but has anyone else tried matching the withheld names to the 552 page summary and noticed the same gaps?

Noticed the exact same thing when I went through the 2017 files last year. The redactions line up in a pattern that almost screams "these specific people mattered," not just random names getting scrubbed. If you look at the acoustics data cross-references, the gaps cluster around the same three or four witness statements every single time. I mean, the odds of that being coincidence are basically zero. Really makes you wonder if what we got was just the cleaned-up version and the real meat is still sitting in some vault.
