The JFK medical report archivist made me rethink the whole thing
I used to buy every new JFK theory that came out, from the magic bullet to the grassy knoll. Then last month I sat through a 3 hour talk from a guy who actually digitized the autopsy records at NARA, and his point about chain of custody errors changed my mind. Has anyone else had their whole view flipped by a single primary source person?

Shook me too honestly. I watched a documentary where this retired FBI guy went frame by frame through the Zapruder film and pointed out how the actual limo driver turns his head back at the exact moment of the head shot. The archive work is all that matters, the rest is just people guessing. Seeing those original documents with their own errors and corrections makes you realize how much gets lost in translation. It stripped away all the wild theories and left me with just the messy, human reality of what happened.

I mean ive seen that same doc and honestly I think people get a little too worked up over it. The driver turning his head could mean a hundred different things, maybe he was just checking on the guy who just got shot in the head, you know? Dont get me wrong the archive stuff is interesting but calling it a "messy human reality" feels a bit dramatic to me. Its still just one guys interpretation of some blurry footage and old papers. At the end of the day, nobody knows exactly what happened and all these deep dives just add more guesses to the pile.
