Rant: My friend swears chemtrails are real but the flight radar app showed me something else
I spent 6 months blaming the factory 4 miles east for the haze I kept seeing in my backyard. Then last Tuesday I pulled up the EPA's fine particle data for my zip code and the worst readings line up with the interstate on the west side, not the factory at all. The number that got me was 14.2 micrograms per cubic meter on Tuesday evenings, right when truck traffic peaks. I cross checked it with a cheap PM2.5 sensor from Amazon and got 13.8, so the official map wasn't lying. Has anyone else found a government dataset that completely flipped their local conspiracy theory?

Damn, that's wild! Okay so this reminds me of my buddy Marcus who was 100% convinced the water tower behind his apartment was secretly leaching chemicals into his tap water. He bought like three different water test kits, went full doomsday prepper with the bottled water situation. Then his landlord finally showed him the city's public water quality report from the actual treatment plant, and it had all the same readings as his tap water, just clean. Turns out the weird smell he kept complaining about was from his own garbage disposal not being cleaned out properly. He still brings it up as a joke now whenever someone starts talking about government conspiracies, lmao.
