My uncle swears the town water tower got sprayed in 2019, and half of Perryville still argues about it
Back in August 2019, a crop duster flew real low over the water tower on Route 9 in Perryville, and my uncle has been convinced ever since that it was dropping something besides dust. Half the town says it was just a farmer working his field next door, and the other half points out that three people on that block got sick the same week. I brought it up at the diner last month and a guy two stools down pulled out his phone with flight tracking data that showed the plane circling the tower four times. The farmer whose field it was says he hired the plane and nobody asked him a single question about it in six years. So which is it, boring paperwork or something nobody wants to talk about? Anyone here live near a water tower and see this kind of thing?
Low flights over a tower are usually just a pilot taking a shortcut or turning around, but four laps is worth a look. Flight tracking data is public, so pull the tail number and file a records request with the FAA. Stuff like that can take weeks to come back, and you might just get a boring crop dusting report, but at least you would know. The sickness thing is probably a coincidence since three people on one block getting sick in the same week is not that rare, your mileage may vary there. The farmer not getting asked anything for six years is the weird part to me, someone should just go knock on his door and ask.
