I used to think the moon landing was fake until I compared the Apollo photos to studio lighting setups
I spent a weekend comparing Apollo 11 photos to how shadows work in a studio with a single light source, and the flag shadows in the photos don't line up with a single sun. But then I looked at the actual lunar surface pics and the shadows there are parallel, which you can't fake with a single studio setup. Has anyone else gone down this rabbit hole and come out the other side?
...welcome to the other side, it's pretty quiet here. The parallel shadow thing is what got me too, you can't fake that with any lighting rig I've ever seen. Some of the flag pics are just weird because the flag itself was wrinkled and stiff from the rod, not because the shadows are wrong.
