I spent $150 on a faraday bag and honestly it felt dumb until the hurricane hit

I bought one of those signal blocking pouches for my car keys and phone after my neighbor kept telling me about car thieves using relay attacks. Cost me about $150 for a decent sized one that fits everything. Then we had that big storm last month in Charleston and I threw all my devices in there to protect from EMP stuff some prepper guy was rambling about at the hardware store. Nothing actually happened but now I keep using it to stop my phone from distracting me at night. Anyone else ever drop cash on a prep item that seemed pointless but then found a real use for it?

The faraday bag as a kayak phone saver is actually genius. Waterproof and signal blocking in one shot. Might have to test that theory myself.
