Honestly last Tuesday I was out running errands in Tucson and it happened four times in like six hours. The guy at the auto parts counter, a lady in line at the bank, my barber, and then a neighbor walking his dog all brought up the same moon landing claim almost word for word. None of them knew each other and none of them could point me to where they heard it, which is the part that got me. I started writing down the little details they used and 3 of the 4 said the exact same phrase about the flag. My best tip if you want to actually debate this stuff is to ask people where they got it before you argue the claim itself, because half the time the source is the real thing worth talking about. So I guess my question is has anyone else noticed a claim suddenly pop up from multiple people in one day like that? Would love to hear what it takes to track one of these back to the actual source.
