Finally fixed my moon landing photo stacking after a guy on a forum said my reference frames were off

Some random commenter pointed out I wasn't aligning the horizon features properly between exposures. Once I started using the registration points he suggested, my final composite came out way sharper - no more ghosting around the lunar module edges. Anyone else get a weird trick that just clicked after someone called out your method?

My buddy Dave had this same issue with his moon shots last year. He was stacking like 20 frames and getting weird blurry edges on the flag and lander. A guy on a cloud watching forum told him he needed to align on the stars in the background not the ground features since the moon rotates a tiny bit between frames. Dave tried it and said it was like a veil lifted off his photos lol. He still talks about that random forum guy like some kind of photo wizard.

Flipped my alignment points like @seth_allen's buddy and stopped blaming my shaky tripod.
