Decided to track every grocery purchase for 3 months straight and hit $2,847 exactly
I started tracking my spending on groceries back in February because I thought I was being reasonable with my budget. After 90 days of logging every receipt and item, the final number came out to $2,847 which felt way too precise to be a coincidence. Has anyone else noticed their spending patterns lining up in weirdly round numbers like this?

My three-month total came out to exactly $2,800 once. Felt rigged.

lol "felt rigged" is pretty much how I'd describe it too. I actually read something the other day about how grocery stores and gas stations use those weird total amounts on purpose to make you think harder about spending. Like if it comes out to $2,800 even it's too easy to just forget, but $2,830 or whatever sticks in your head more. I don't know if that's true but it makes sense when you see totals like that. Man, $2,800 is painful though.
