Caught a weird glitch in my neighbor's sat feed after 3 months of watching

I've been tracking this odd flicker in the 7 PM news on his dish (he let me borrow the log) and last week it stopped completely after he switched one cable. Anyone else see stuff like this after a simple swap or is it just random interference?

That 59 foot cable swap is a classic fix for signal bleed on those older dishes.

Right, the classic 59 foot swap. @fiona130 nailed it. I've done that fix more times than I care to count on those older dishes. The real trick people miss is making sure you use the exact length, not just a few feet longer or shorter. I had one customer swear it didn't work until I cut their cable to the exact 59 foot mark, and the signal cleaned right up. The length matters because it cancels out the specific frequency reflections. It sounds like a myth until you see it fix a problem you've been chasing for weeks.
