Watched 20 feet of sidewalk crack right in front of me
Was doing a driveway apron in Phoenix last August, humidity was through the roof. Mixed the concrete a bit wet cause I was rushing, figured screeding would fix it. By the time I got the trowel on it, the surface crusted over and the bottom stayed wet, whole thing spiderwebbed on me by noon. Had to chip out 3 full yards by hand in 110 degree heat, lesson learned about bleeding water the hard way. Has anyone else had a pour go bad from weather you thought you could beat?

Oh man, that's brutal. I feel your pain on that one, nothing worse than watching a pour go south on you.

Right? Nothing like the sound of concrete hitting the ground instead of the forms. I guess that's just the universe's way of telling you you should have ordered a half yard less. At least the driveway looks like modern art now though.
